Wow. What a lovely idea! My favourite comic is either Maus or Scott Pilgrim Vs the World. Two VERY different styles, I know! How are you finding BEDM? :)Amanda from Adventures from the Bookshelf
Maus is brilliant, I re-read it recently. Not read any Scott Pilgrim books but I enjoyed the film. BEDM is going ok so far, scheduling posts is a real help as this month is quite a busy one! x
I realise you may not ship down to NZ but I wanted to share any-ways, my all time fav is Calvin and Hobbes. :)Michelle
Mine is dotter of her fathers eyes. I also saw a mini one by Gillian Flynn on the guardian recently that was really good too. Xx
Oh dear - I have not read many - but Ethel and Ernest by Raymond Briggs is really lovely
Love Ethel and Ernest, it's so sweet and moving.
Mine is 'Blankets' by Craig Thompson! A recent good one I read is Katie Green's 'Lighter than my shadow'. If you have a chance to, there's a comic exhibition at the British Library. :)
Blankets is my absolute favourite too. I'll have to read 'Lighter than my Shadow' too. I nearly went to that exhibition at the weekend but couldn't fit it in, it's on my to-do list!
Ahhhh, you went to Horniman museum. I still haven't been there - it looks ACE. Yea, check out the BL one if you get a chance. I was a bit nonplussed with the layout of the exhibition, though I went after work so maybe I was just tired!
Can't go past anything by Daniel Clowes for me. Obviously, Ghost World is a big favourite! I've actually had this sitting in my cart on Etsy since you first posted about it, but I'm waiting until pay day! :)
My favourite is still Maus after first reading it when I was 12. So profoundly compelling.
