Another list..

I recently read an article in Frankie about good romantic/comedy films that aren't rubbish.. and each of their choices was already one of my favourites! So I thought I'd list them along with some others I'd recommend if you like romantic films that are actually good without being cheesy...

1 Say Anything

John Cusack was the king in the 80s! Definitely one to watch if you've not seen it yet.


2. Amelie

A classic, of course. I love how the object of her affections is a little bit kooky and weird.


3 Before Sunrise

Julie Delpy is just lovely. Really makes me want to go inter-railing around Europe!

[Edit: I also wanted to add 2 Days in Paris which I really liked too! Stars Delpy & Adam Goldberg and it's pretty funny)

4. In Search of a Midnight Kiss

Don't let the title of this put you off - I saw this by chance at a free screening and was really impressed. A bit like Before Sunrise but shot in LA on a tiny budget - Scoot McNairy's my new favourite actor. Who hasn't been in anything good since..

5. Annie Hall

Inspired by Hula Seventy's lists, I decided to make one of my own!

Things I'm looking forward to this year!

1. Spending more time in parks with friends! (See above!)

2. ATP curated by Pavement

I've never been to an ATP so I'm excited about this one. Not to mention it's near a beach and there's a waterpark included, yay!


3. Seeing Flight of the Conchords live next month

Excited to see Brett and Jermaine on stage!


4. Possible seaside trips now I have a car again!

5. End of the Road Festival

It was so good last year and this year also looks great, with Yo La Tengo playing their only UK festival date!


6. More canal boating later this year!

If all goes to plan the crew of the Endeavour will take to the canals again!

This weekend was lovely and sunny, and I went for a drive in my new car [which has a CD player as opposed to a tapedeck like my old one], so I was happily listening to some mix CD's made for me by various folks including Bianca, Adeline and Erika. I have now completed my CD's for Tiffany's Mix CD Swap too (they're for Molly Yeh, as seen below!) I am posting them tomorrow, along with my giveaway winner's parcel! Can't wait to get some new mix CD's back too, yey.

Clear Skies

Since the volcano erupted and flights have been cancelled there have been beautiful blue clear skies. Some of which have been captured on Amelia magazine's blog here. I might take a photo as well before the air traffic resumes and leaves trails across the skies again!

Tis the weekend...

Here's wishing everyone a lovely weekend, I am not in the best of weekend spirits yet for some reason but Gemma Correll's drawings are cheering me on! This weekend I will continue my efforts with the zine and hopefully collect more strangers for my photo project.
