World's Biggest Photobooth!

I've been so busy the past few weekends i still haven't had time to check out the Diane Arbus exhibition at Nottingham Contemporary - and now I've seen that the "world's biggest photobooth" is there too I want to go even more! It's meant to mimic the style of Arbus's photos, meaning your image is displayed 25 foot high (eep!) read more here.

More tea?

This weekend i am off to a folk festival in Cambridge - rain's predicted for tomorrow but i imagine everyone will act a bit like the couple in the drawing above by gemma correll..

PS my travelling journal has reached the lovely bianca in Oz.. check her post here to see what she's drawn inside! I'm so excited to get it back after it's finished its worldwide trip!

Film Thursday: Toy Story 3

Okay the only film i've seen this week is the brilliant Toy Story 3 - I enjoyed it more than I expected to, having not seen any of the films since the first came out. Barbie and Ken are really funny characters (but how annoying is the cowgirl?! Sorry to slag off a member of the Cusack family but she wasn't my favourite!) I saw it in 2D but it was still pretty spectacular to watch.

I went to a lovely leaving party in the countryside at the weekend which included...

A game of Sumo wrestling

A pretty white pony

A massive game of rounders

The smallest tent in the world

A very nonplussed cat

Beautiful paper lanterns

And the perfect hammock.

Film Thursday : Into the Wild

Okay I've decided instead of posting about a character I like to just do a general post about a film i've seen this week. Today's is Into the Wild - I've been meaning to watch it for a while. In case you've not seen it, it's a true story about Christopher Mccandless who decided to send his life savings to Oxfam and travel into the wilderness of Alaska on his own. It's a very moving story and definitely worth a watch.

Top 50 Photographic Movies

A good list of films to see if you're a photography fan here.

Out of all the places I've visited these are the ones I'd like to revisit:

1. Iceland (above) is just so beautiful.

2. New York All the photos I took there were on my old computer which broke :( except a couple of polaroids i have left. Polaroids are therefore better than digital photos!

3. Stockholm

4. Amsterdam (going in August, yey!)

5. Paris Also going again in August, can't wait!

6. Barcelona This city has everything - amazing architecture, a beach and the most amazing view of the city from the hills surrounding it.

What places would you revisit given the chance?

London Part 2 - Spitalfields City Farm

Recently I read an entry on Hello Bee's blog about a visit to Spitalfields City Farm in East London. As my housemate is rather obsessed with City Farms we made sure to take a trip there on our visit to London at the weekend. It was an amazing space as it is in a very urban area, and the effort put into the farm was really impressive - hand painted signs, treehouses built from reclaimed wood etc. Would definitely recommend a trip there if you are in the area!

Blog Lovin'

My lovely Dutch friend Gerdien has just created a blog called Lab Coco (named after her sweet kitty Coco!) It features cats, amazing sewing projects and scooters, linky here!

Much Love Monday

I just realised I finally have a picture to submit for Anna's Much Love Monday.

Things i love today: hot tea when it's raining outside, listening to old songs i'd forgotten about, handmade necklaces, finding photobooths by accident, getting surprises in the post, and watching old episodes of the Simpsons and The Wonder Years curled up in bed..
